The Best Gift? Being Yourself, Fully

ree

Lately, I have been thinking a lot about gifts. Maybe it is the holiday season, or maybe it is life slowing down just enough for my heart to breathe. Either way, I have realized something I wish I had learned earlier:

One of the best gifts God invites us to open is the freedom to be who He created us to be, fully.

Not the polished version.

Not the version we rush to present to the world.

Not the “I am holding it all together” version.

Just the real us.

Growing, learning, maturing, stumbling, praying, becoming.

And the older I get, the more I welcome her.

Somewhere in our culture, we were handed the idea that beauty belongs only to youth. Over time, I have learned that beauty does not fade. It evolves. It softens. It deepens. It gains meaning.

Those laugh lines came from joy.

That softness came from grace.

That confidence came from surviving what once felt impossible.

I hear the same things from women everywhere.

“I am starting to feel like myself again.”

“I am learning to love this version of me.”

“I am embracing what God has always seen in me.”

That is the journey we are all on.

We are growing into our beauty, not out of it.

God did not create you hoping you would eventually become worthy.

He created you worthy from the start.

On days when I feel insecure or overly critical, I remind myself:

My worth is not changing.

My value is not shifting.

My identity is not fragile.

God declared it long before anyone else had an opinion.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made. That truth applies at every age and every season. Even now. Especially now.

I have always believed there is something meaningful about getting dressed with intention.

When you put on a pair of earrings that make you feel radiant,

or slip into a top that feels soft and flattering,

or choose pieces that reflect who you are today,

it becomes more than fashion.

It becomes gratitude.

It becomes a celebration of God’s craftsmanship in you.

That is why I appreciate how the right pieces can help women reconnect with themselves. Sometimes it is something as simple as a beautiful pair of earrings or a small detail that brings out your confidence. I often hear women say, “This made me feel like myself again.” It always reminds me how powerful it can be when we choose things that reflect who we truly are.

In the end, it is not about the accessory itself.

It is about the way it makes you stand a little taller, smile a little brighter, and remember the beauty that was always there.

As you choose gifts for the people you love this season, I hope you do not forget to give something to yourself too.

Give yourself:

the gift of grace

the gift of confidence

the gift of rest

the gift of authenticity

the gift of showing up as you are

Your beauty is not slipping away.

Your glow is not behind you.

Your best version is not your past version.

You are becoming deeper, softer, stronger, and more radiant with time.

And this season, more than ever, I hope you let yourself receive the gift of being fully, beautifully, wonderfully you
